Since I have upgraded to Windows 7 64, my Outlook 2007 constantly crashes. I have been trying to repair the database, reinstalled outlook, deleted all messages, create a new user account, disabled plug ins, etc, in total I spend hours on it already.

Outlook just crases on a random basis, usually after 1-10 minutes when i start it, giving a message, the outlook stopped responding and is restarting now.

Any suggestions what else i can do to solve this problem is much appreciated.

You could always completely uninstall Office 2007, then reinstall it. I wouldn't have done a upgrade of W7, since it usually leads to problems and doesn't perform as well when doing a clean install.

You could also try installing the Office 2010 beta, which can be installed side-by-side with your existing Office 2007 install (I believe).

I have also reinstalled Windows 7, so it's no longer an update. I have also completely uninstalled Office. And yes, I have also formatted the hard drive.

Hi, I have the same problem as Dick. I have started with 2 clean installs and ended up with the same situation where Outlook 2007, and to a lesser extent Word and Excel crash several times a day. It happens most often when I am trying to attach a file to the email, or save an attachment from an incoming email. But, sometimes it happens when I am just reading or composing emails.

I checked the event log and there appears to be 3 entries for the crash. The 3 entries are listed below in cronological order. It is interesting to note that there was 7 minutes between entry 2 and entry 3 in the Application Log:

I hope that someone can make some sence of this, because it happens 10 to 15 times a day. As an aside, and I can deal with this in another post, I am having a similar problem with IE 8. It also crashes and then restarts several times a day. Pretty much every piece of software that I have works fine with Windows 7 except Microsoft Software. Go figure!

Ntdll? What antivirus are you using? Can you post a shot of your installed programs and the msconfig startup tab?
