Can no longer activate hyper text link in incoming emails. Instead I see the message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. How can I cancell this restriction.

Easy fix is to install FireFox Browser.

Then check the hyperlinks in OL; should be fine then.

You can either keep firefox or delete it and everything should be back to normal.

This seems to happen to some folks if they installed Chrome Browser and then uninstalled it.

Dear Kipper, I had tried Google Chrome. My problem with hypertext has been solved by installing and the uninstalling Firefox. Brilliant! But why does this work and how did you find out? Having spent many hours going through every menu and FAQ's within Windows I really am grateful. But I do wonder whether Google is aware of this. Brian74

Same happened to me. I installed Google Chrome to try it out. It sucked. I uninstalled it and went back to IE8. Now I cannot open any hyperlinks in Outlook.

Is there a fix?

Look at my post above here and you will be able to correct this.

Thanks, and guess what - I installed Firefox and it's MUCH faster than IE8 64-bit, and I love it. I used it long ago but version 3.6 is awesome. So I'm sticking with Firefox. Go figure...
