When you say you have 46 emails do you mean the numerical number 46 is showing alongside the word inbox?. If so have you had any problems downloading emails recently.
My Outlook does often show a number beside the inbox even though I can read the email in the RH pane. The only way I seem to be able to clear the number showing is to click the actual email in the centre pane & that opens the email in a new smaller window & clears the number beside the inbox.
I don't know if this what is happening with yours, but I thought this might help.
PS. Congrats. on your age & still computing, I am 72 so a bit younger but still computing.
Bligh.

I tried your suggestion without success. I now have 67 emails in my inbox!! Yes, it is the number that is shown next to "Inbox" I have searched high and low but I cannot find them anywhere. I have relatives in Townsville, anywhere near you??

Hi there ... Have a look under ...

C:\Users\Your account name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst

(You'll need to enable "Show hidden files and folders" to see the AppData folder)

This will not resolve the problem .. I think you might have to do a Reinstall

Townsville is quite a long way from here. Sorry my suggestion for your email problem did not work, but a few others have come up with some options that might. Good luck.
