I wouldnt bother overclocking it unless you have to.
the 16:9 part of your monitor only specifies its aspect ratio not its resolution which is the key figure.

if youre really that interested download msi afterburner as well as msi kombuster. afterburner allows you to tweak the base clock and up the voltages as well as being able to control the gpus fan to a higher speed, or a more aggressive curvature allowing for a throttle back if things get too hot.

kombuster is used to stress test the gpu afterwards. I suggest you watch lots of youtube videos before you attempt this, as if it goes wrong you could destroy your gpu and a warranty wont cover it.

With Afterburner you should be able to get a 10% OC without raising voltages, watch the temps, it may not be worth the extra heat generated.

I have watched several videos on how to overclock. Just didn't see a point if the card is giving me 40-60fps on ultra or high settings.

thats the point I made in the first part of my post.
overclocking used to be something that was used to eeek out every bit of perfromance from your hardware to make something run or a game playable that wouldnt normally run.

these days its just used for willy waving. the difference it makes isnt so big that its ground breaking. 5-10fps here or there. and youll soon hit the next bottleneck in your setup.

be happy with what you have until you're unhappy with the performance.
