overclocking Ati 5770

Hey has any flashed the bio's i have my overclocked all the way on the ati catalist i heard you can go way beyond thay point can anyone point me the right direction to do this?

Use MSI Afterburner.

If you know nothing of OCing, go no further. You don't particularly sound like you do. Go back to factory settings, unless you can afford a new card when you kill this one.

If you still want to OC it, then ask, and we can help.

Are you running two 52" monitors? The results you got from CCC isn't enough?

Using MSI Afterburner, and being very careful, you can overclock a 5770 upwards of 1060MHz stable.

Safe voltages that I've seen are around 1.25

Use MSI Afterburner, but make sure you tick the sync option to have both cards running at the same OC or you'll have problems.

You shouldn't have to flash the BIOS on them to do this, if the cards do give you trouble getting to higher voltages, there is a setting you can edit in the Afterburner config file that will allow you to OC higher.

yes msi can overclock past ccc aslong as you open up the cfg file (in msi afterburner main directory) with notepad , and at the bottom it says " EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0 " change that zero to a 1
and si afterburner control the voltage aswell

what is reasonable for overclocking

Depends on your card. When I had a 5770, I had it over 1000mhz, stable, before I got sick of dealing with ATI crap.

As said above, each card is different, overclock them seperately.

Also, you have not said if you are:
1) Willing to risk DESTROYING your card(s)
2) Learning how to OC (how to really do it, not what you did before because that was wrong).

I repeat my previous question, would you like an explanation of how to "safely" overclock?
