hi i feel overwhelmed, by all that i have to do , getting ready for having a new pc (which i feel excited about). i feel besieged i have wanted to build a pc for what seems like 11 months or more, but other things have gotten in the way. all things that i have to consider are: all the various passwords for programs, anti-virus software (free or paid) , mastering back up and restoring, buying all the parts , etc.
thank you

There are a host of free security suites available now days,
I have all three of these the first does provide real time protection the other two do not and do not self update either,
I have the Pro versions but the free version do work very well if you manually update them and run the full scans,

Backup I've always done manually just to make sure it gets done/ monthly,
But there are allot of offerings but I don't have any recommendations on that end.

I know there are many options out there for just about everything, but here is what I would recommend:

Lastpass is a great password manager and is free (they also offer a $12 annual subscription, but the free version is great). The thing I like most about it is that it auto-fills forms on the web with usernames and passwords that you save.

Avast is a great free antivirus program. It offers real time protection and will automatically do updates for you. They recently added new features which even include a web browser add-in that will rate the links on each page.

For backups, I use EaseUs Todo Backup Free. This allows you to create an image of your entire disk or just some specified file locations. You can also set each backup plan to run on a schedule. The free version does all I need it to, but they have a paid version which is fairly cheap (I want to say around $30).

Hope you this helps you somehow!
