Hello Njan, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you are referring to doing a repair install on your Windows 7, then it must be done from within Windows 7 while you have it fully started. You will not be able to do a repair install at boot.

You may be able to use the tutorial below to help extract and replace any corrupted system files from your Windows 7 installation disc to hopefully fix them all though.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

As Brink references, a Repair Install is normally the next step for unfixable system files. It can be done offline from the desktop by running the DVD or extracted or mounted ISO.

I would use the tutorial to slipstream SP1 into the ISO before running the Repair Install so you don't have to install it afterward since the OS will be reinstalled while all files, programs and settings will remain in place.
