Package registry presence failed, possibly an orphaned package on pack

hello,, ( don't know if the thread i just created got posted)
but i'm having problems with windows updates
so i ran the update readiness tool and checked the log to find this error
for thousands of packages
e.g.:
(f) CBS Watchlist Package Missing 0x80070002 Microsoft-ActiveDirectory-WebServices-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~0.0.0.0 Package_for_KB2416471~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0 Package registry presence failed, possibly an orphaned package on package watchlist

clearly it's a registry problem, i haven't posted the log here because i wouldn't mind fixing thousands of this error manually just please tell me how! i don't have the cd so i can't do a reinstall

my computer is running on windows 7 64 bit
