page build up

morning. I hope somebody can help with this .I have just been having a clear-out in my documents folder.
you know how you keep putting things in. Anyway I have been going from folder to folder deleting stuff.
and all of a sudden I noticed it getting slower and slower.so racked my brains trying to think what could be causing it. so I thought start from the beginning I red crossed it, and again and again and again.
I must have done it 20 times. so I went into task master and there was pages of them. why are these pages building up I have never noticed it before.

Possible cause.
You are removing more than the Recycle bin can hold.
Clean you Recycle bin and see what happens.

What method are you using to remove things?

thanks layback bear I just right click and delete. You where right my recycle bin was full. I emptied it and all seems ok now.

Morning all. I spoke to soon ,it is still doing it .I delete stuff and it sends it to the recycle bin but it leaves it on the screen,(although hidden ) the pages just build up. when I am going back to desktop I red cross everything I have been working on and go back.now I find as many as 20/25 pages. I go into start manager and it is the same ,I have to click on them one at a time and click end task.
what have done wrong to get this.
