Well it looked really boring at first, but the plugins are actually worth digging for, turn it into something a lot more functional.

First time I used Paint.Net (about 2 years ago) I lost the Colors Window and did not know how to get it back ... so had to reinstall it :o

It is weird the way it groups some tools as 'windows'
It makes a weird sense but it just doesn't seem proper

Paint.net is my graphics package of choice. I don't have the skill or the eye to take advantage of a nicer suite like Photoshop...nor do I have the disposable cash laying around to purchase Photoshop.

Photoshop is a great tool no doubt. It's just so heavy and not really meant for common editing.

I've never been able to get on with Paint.NET, I prefer to use G.I.M.P. although I'll be much happier when it gets its single windows option, supposedly in the next major version whenever that arrives.

Paint.NET is good but the simplest of tasks seem hard to master.
