Wasn't thinking.. should have checked first.. can an OS boot from a "Simple Volume"? I was messing with the disk management, and I shrunk my E: drive by 10GB, and made a FAT32 partition out of it. After that, my C: and E: drives turned from "Primary Partitions" into "Simple Volumes".. I'm kind of afraid to restart my computer, for fear of it not being able to boot either of my OS's.. can anyone give some advice?

My computer sucks.
It should boot

looking at the screenshot you've included the Windows 7 partition looks viable

The naming conventions for Dynamic and Basic disks are different as is the low level disk structure.

The problem you will have is although the conversion from basic to dynamic disks is simple and does not even require a reboot the re-conversion is far from simple and will result in the loss of all data

I will not ask why you converted as there does not seem a valid advantage with your disk structure unless you are in the process of adding additional storage.

More info of the disks is here ...

What is difference between basic disk and dynamic disk?
