Just a little warning, I would not think about installing Paragon's partition software on Windows 7 x64; this software ended up hiding my external USB drives. I was going crazy trying to figure things out...I'm a tech. After experiments I found the culprit. I have not had any problems with their backup software though.

What version of Paragon were you using? I have Paragon Partition Manager 9.0 Professional Edition on my Win7 x64 installation and have never encountered that problem. All my USB connected drives are visible and work just fine.
