The problem is the following: a portion of the desktop becomes unusable randomly, icons are invisible although I can double click to open or use right click in that area. If I open an application in fullscreen, it remains only on the usable portion. The problem started few days ago, after I re-installed win7 (fresh install, new hdds). The graphic card is ati 5750, I tryed 3 versions of the catalyst driver, 10.5/6/7 and with all windows updates up to date. My displays are a monitor through dvi and a tv through hdmi. On both of them the problem is the same, the unusable portion occupyes the same amount of the screen. The only way to get rid of it is through reboot. I used win7 for a year with these settings on the multiple displays (duplicate displays) with no problems at all and there is no way to test if it happens with just 1 display, as it ussualy happen after 8-10 hours of working or sometimes after 1 or 2 hours, whichever display is turned on.

No, not really. It's unlikely to be a hardware problem, since this just started after I installed the OS. I guess somewhere between drivers-windows updates-applications installed.

I am having exact same problem. It's so annoying. Anyway to fix?

I also have a radeon card, but no other video card available to me, however I also doubt it's a hardware problem.

i have the same video card and had trouble like that .then i pulled out my tv tuner card cause it was always the
video from the tv tuner that moved to the right . now the only time it happens is when i'm viewing a movie from netflix. the screen enlarges its self and moves to the right.anyway try removing the tv tuner card for 1 day and see if it still happens.
