Partition Problem

Gparted download should be .iso file - burn it to a cd as an image - do not format the cd.

You may want to use it in the future - useful app. to have.

I downloaded the gparted but it would not open in windows 7, said unrecognized file.

At any rate I do have the program up now.

GParted live for cd is the usual name for it. But with a usb key you can easily use that instead of the 7 iso. The UltraISO will still write that to a usb flash drive where you simply boot up from the flash drive in order to partition/format or repartition any drive including another flash drive even!

o.k. I d'l the zip file perhaps that is why it did not open in W7. On the Gearteq program, the program worked but it was not connecting with Solidworks.

Since everything worked fine in SW I did not think that it was needing to be un/reinstalled.

At any rate it works again, and I am back on track.

For custom setups or simply splitting up a drive for a second storage partition on a single drive system this is quite easy to use after a few times. Without a working burner you are still going to need one of two things since the zip file is a bit different since you have to first unpack that into a folder in order to create an iso image from the unpacked files/folders.
