Partition Wizard, Corrupt disk?

Have a 1tb Hard Drive, I have my Windows Partition and another very, very large one with all of my media. 650 GB's of Movies, Tv Shows, Music, Games, Books and various other things. I was attempting to expand this partition via Partition Wizard Boot Disk, since I had unallocated space and it would not allow me to do this in the standard Windows Disk Managment. Anyway, it was taking a good long while, and unfortunatly our power went out. Since I "ended" the expansion prematurely, the partition is now pooched. It shows up as "Other" on Partition Wizard, and Raw in Windows Disk managment. This should be fixable, I hope, as nothing is actually wrong with the data, it's probably just been mislabled due to the crash, but I desperatly need to fix this situation. I do not want to lose all of this data.

You could try running partition recovery option in PW - see what it says and post up a screenie before doing any more than that

Well that also took forever, and I can't post a screenshot, because I was doing it in Boot, but needless to say it doesn't look like it's going to do much. After running the Partition Recovery Wizard, Scanning the broken Partition, it allows me to "finish", and reminds me that if I proceed it will delete the partition, which is most certainly what I don't want, so I chose not to proceed.

The idea is to tick ALL the partitions you want to keep, then click Finish, click Apply.

The difficulty you have is that we can't tell if the data moving has completed successfully.

If you were expanding into unallocated space on the right - then the data didn't need moving.

How do you know there is nothing wrong with the data?

Ahhh, I see. It does not explain what it wants done. I clicked the partition I had lost, as opposed to the partitions I want to keep, which explains why I was told I was going to lose a partition.

I was expanding to unallocated data on the left. And I don't know there is nothing wrong, I don't even know much about partitioning, I just assumed that since the data isn't actually touched it would be fine, but I see that since you say it would have to move if going to the left, and therefore is touched, and could be screwed, that I may be in a bad spot.

In any case, let me run this very time consuming Recovery Wizard again, I will check both boxes, cross my fingers and hope for the best.

If I tick both boxes and press finish that's it. The wizard closes and I'm not given the chance to apply. It's not on the left hand wide under operations pending. Admittedly I did cheat, as opposed to going through with a scan I cancelled it. The partition isn't lost, just broke and I get the same two partitions listed whether I proceed with the scan or not.
