I installed Windows 7, less than a week ago, and I already realized that I made my back up partition a little bit too large. I reduced the size and then tried to increase the size of C:/, with 7, (partition volume wizard). Did not work. Of course I was using the C drive at the time. Any suggestions?

what "condition" is the "available" space in after you reduced the size of your backup partition ?

I would delete the volume so that it states it's condition as "free space" then it should be an available option on your C: drive to extend ;)
