Hi. I recently got a new hard drive and I'm currently trying to install windows 7 from my USB. I initially got the error ''Setup was unable to create a new system partition''. I googled the issue and got to this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/260850-setup-unable-create-new-system-partition.html. I followed the instructions of harltron in post #6 and partitioned the drive, but when I restarted the computer I got the following error: ''bootmgr is missing'' when my PC tries to install Windows 7 from the USB. I've googled the issue again, but no luck. As you can probably tell, I'm not very tech savvy so if you have any suggestions it would be nice if you could include a quick way to do it
Thanks for the link. Step 2 was already a done deal, and I saw that I had UEFI options when changing boot order. I tried using the UEFI install with the program listed, but to no avail - still no bootmgr. I tried using the USB on my laptop, and there was nothing wrong with the USB, the installation still started. On step 6, that looks like the exact procedure I did on my hard drive, which caused this error to happen.
