Partitioning a single sata drive with Win7 on it

I got a question for you maybe you can answer for me. I have a single 1terabyte sata drive with windows 7 on it. I used to have Windows xp pro on it but i upload win7, i just delete the "old windows" that win7 left me. Now i have accumulated alot of files in my documents file which i use for video purposes which take up about 530 gigs. i can't wipe my hard drive clean to install the new update rc which i recieved as a beta tester. Is there any way to partition the drive only where win7 is at leaving my 530 gigs in a seperate partition so that i can install dual os's. The two os's will be win7 rc and Xp Pro. the only reason i made the switch is because i built my new computer with 4 gigs of memory running core 7 processor but xp only sees 3 gigs. If you could help me out i would gratefully appreciate it.

Yes.

I have actually uploaded a free bootable disk partitioner, and if needed, the program to burn it to disk with.
Boot into the disk, and you can format/delete/edit the partition in question.

Nice 1 rive, although Windows 7 allows you to do it all (format, resize, delete, activate + more) from within the OS with no restart needed.

Yes you can, and specify the size of each, there are tutorials available on how to dual boot XP/Vista/Se7en on this site.

Yes, and you can create new ones if you so choose [volumes/partitions].

I actually created the bootable disk off a full Paragon partitoning software app. It is especially useful for x64 O/S's.

Ill have to check it out. I know the Vista version, has a limitation, and more often than not, will not allow the resizing that is sometimes required. This bootable disk gives full control, and is easy and free to use.
