Password

I have a laptop in my other room that is on the homegroup so from my main computer I double click it in "Network and sharing" and I type in my homegroup key, then my password or passphrase, then my security key then my routers password. I did share 2 drives on my laptop. All my passwords are correct so what am I missing? However I can look at my main computer from my laptop and go into all the shared everything.
