Hi We are new to this forum, I have gifted to my wife a new hp laptop with windows 7 , We basically used the computer for a couple of days without having to sign-in or without having to enter a password. Now windows is asking for a password , We have no clue why we are being asked for a password and have no clue what password to enter, Any ideas on what to do would be deeply apprciated, Thank you

Where did you buy it? Did you buy it new from a local store? You should be able to ask them some questions about it.
