Hello,

I've got install Windows 7 on my HTPC. The configuration is Athlon 3000+ (s939), 512Mb of ram, and sapphire X600XT. I have install the latest driver of ATI (9.6). My problem is that the system show my LCD display and says me to make it at the full HD resolution (1920x1080) but if i do it, i've got black screen and my tv make me the message "out of order". So i have to make it in 13xx x768 (sorry i don't exactly remember the resolution). Under Windows Xp, the system runs in 1920x1080. Have you seen this problem before, and also, have you got a solution?

Cordially.

Could it be the refresh rate? Are you using the latest ATI driver for Windows 7? I don't really see any drivers listed for ATI on their site for that card. Maybe the default ATI driver that is loaded is not functioning correctly. Can you take a look in your device manager and see if the x600x is listed correctly?

The "latest" ATI driver that works with your card is actual a Vista driver, and that is Catalyst 9.3. I'm suprised that 9.6 even installed for you. In fact, if you go to the latest driver page and select Windows 7, Radeon, and your card, you will see Catalyst version 9.3.1 as the latest version. They stopped supporting your card, and LOTS of others, when they brought out Catalyst 9.4.

Hello,

Thanks for your answers.

I have tried with the 9.3 but no good result. That's why i have try the 9.6 and 9.7.

Ohter question: Is it normal to have no CatalystControlCenter? Because me i've got only the windows interface. not the ATI interface.
I will retry with the 9.3.1 and if nothing best, i will have to bought new graphic card:(
