pc backup causing external disk problems

Hello forum.

i have an external hard drive,and it seems that windows 7 is managing backup files in that location.My hard drive is saying its full,allthough its empty.is there a way i can clean up the hard drive from showing its full?thank you.

ps:im getting that notice:check your backup disk space!

Post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management that shows that the hard drive in question is "empty" as you say.

Are you sure that your backups are being directed to this "empty" drive?

the image on the left shows my hard drive full,but its not.it has 500gb free space,which
all my files are around 200gb,idont know why its saying its full.

2nd image i check the manage disks to see if the hard driveis healthy,and its says its healthy.

3rd image is the warning dialogue i get when clicking on widnows notifications.

4th image is there im getting the message"check your backup disk space".

so for some reason i think that windows has chosen that hard drvie to do its back up,and has caused my hard drive to show that its full.
