Solved PC Backup Pro - Fail at Boot

Using:

Win7 x64
DT Utilities PC Backup Pro 11

I tried to create a disaster recovery backup of my OS drive, restarting the computer when prompted to after being informed that it was necessary due to files being in use. Upon reboot I am presented with the message. "Insert start up disk into floppy drive and press F2 to run setup". Along with this message there are two two partitions from my drive I can choose from.

The first, labelled "Win 7/2008", brings me into Windows as could be expected.
The second, labelled "Linux", does nothing, as upon selecting, it stops after showing the message "Loading boot sector...booting..."

This selection screen now comes up every time I boot. How can I remove it? I had hoped removing the backup software which caused this would help but alas no.

Install this to Windows 7 to see if there's a boot entry that can be removed and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Perhaps you would have better success using Macrium and yes, you will have to create a Macrium boot disk to restore and image if need be.

BCD found nothing unusual, but I used the Re-create/repair boot files anyway. Which caused Windows to no longer be bootable...but fortunately repaired easy enough using the Windows disk. Curiously it seemed to change the language in the process. My Windows is set to Japanese, but previously the boot options and everything before logging on had been in English, that too has changed to Japanese now however. Not a problem, just surprised me.
