I posted earlier today about a T440p laptop that was crashing during sleep. Another user at our organization is having similar issues on his Lenovo W541 laptop.

The issue is that after being put to sleep, the laptop sometimes does not successfully resume, leading to the black screen on resume that gives you the options to start windows normally or boot in safe mode. It happens inconsistently, but often (54 times in the last 3 months). I have attached the required files.

I am a novice at looking at the debug files. However, I noticed alot of references to pci.sys and netwsw02, which i believe relates to the Intel Wifi driver. Am i on the right path here?

Hopefully the issues between the two machines are similar. Thanks in advance for your help!

(The dump file exceeded the site's file size limit, so here it is on OneDrive)

Arc,
Thanks for the reply.

I have read the posting instructions. I collected the logs, and provided them in the link to OneDrive. The total size was 8.5MB, while the site uploader only allows for 8MB files maximum. I've described the issue and provided my system configuration file. It's all there in my original post.

What else do I need?

OK, I checked the files.

Download and install Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7.

Disable bluetooth in device manager.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Report us for any further BSOD after doing these.
