PC diagnostic software

Hello

Since I upgraded my graphic card, all strange problem occurred on my PC.

All of these are intermittent

- Portion of a running in background program screen is displayed over the in front screen
- The internet stop working
- PC is slow
- Keyboard response is slow

Is there a good system diagnostic tool that i could use?

Maybe my system is over heating

Board: Asus P5B
Memory: DDr2 6 Gig
Video card Asus EAH4870
Power Supply :600w Cooler Master

Any help appreciated

Did you have these problems before upgrading your graphics card?

What graphics card did you have installed before?

Just checked the AMD site, and it is possible that it could be a PSU problem. I see that you have a 600W PSU, and although it states that a 500W PSU (with 2 x 6-pin PCI-E power connectors), you could well be borderline with it.

What is the symptom of a failing power supply. Yesterday I did OCCT for over 2 hours and no problem found with voltage.

I understand that I'm borderline, but voltage report seems ok

Ex card was ATI Saphire HD 2600 pro. The new one is doubled in size and drain a lot more power.

Is it possible to monitor the voltage that the card is receiving?

Maybe my system is over heating. Looking for a software that may help me to source the problem. Software, Hardware, Heating ????

Hi Martin,

Do you have the PCI-E supplementary power leads connected? Have you tried uninstalling the graphics driver and then reinstalling a fresh copy?

Yes to both

Did one pass of memtest without failure this morning. I will let it run during the night.

Found this thread while looking for solution to a similar problem when I upgraded, so I thought I'd quickly leave my 2 cents, we all hate finding threads with no solution!

I solved my problem with the software from Eurosoft - PC Diagnostic Software this will run a full pc diagnostic test, worked fine for me.
