Welcome spec009 :D

What key are you tapping during Boot-Up to try to get into the Bios setup?

Could you give us more info of the hardware specs of the system you build ?

When you switch on your PC, keep repeatedly tapping F2 to enter the BIOS. On some systems, the key to press might be Delete or Esc or even a different function key. The key to press should be displayed on screen (unless the BIOS has an option to suppress such messages).

After you set the options you want in the Bios setup, you have to reboot computer and install the win7 Operating System to your hard drive with the win7 install DVD. The bios is not an operating system to boot. Do you have a HD & DVD install to use with your new built PC ?

Are you using a wireless keyboard?

If so, see if you can use a PS2 connector or keyboard with a PS2 connector, then get into the BIOS and set USB to Legacy. This should allow to keyboard to enter the BIOS without being connected to a PS2 port after that.

Had to fuss with this on my first Gigabyte MB.

You might also look to see if a BIOS update is available to address this issue (later on).

Well.....

What does you manual say about getting into the BIOS?

Also, have you checked the connection? Make sure you're using the purple port.

I asked you what your owner's manual say about entering the BIOS. Well it says.....

Press DEL to enter SETUP

Page 3-2

You can download it here.... http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55-CD53.html#?div=Manual

If that doesn't work, there may be an issue with the motherboard reading the PS2 port. In this case you could try a USB keyboard and see if that'll work.

Does it power up when you press the case power button? Do the case fans spin up and does the power LED on the case light up? What do you see on your monitor when you power it up? Do you hear any beeps when you power it up? You might want to double check all your cables, especially the power and hard drive status LED's and motherboard power cables.
