PC freeze but mouse working

Hi
My problem is I have random freeze of my pc only my mouse can move and my processor working max (the light is on all the time). I have to switch off the pc and restart it. It happen at random interval sometime days without happening and it can be a video streming on firefox, browsing on firefox and 1 time happed while playing. I scaned with avg (free version) and spybot for viruses and use ccleaner. As there is no dump I don't know what is the problem and if you can help it would be nice. thank you

Download Malwarebytes Anti-malware free (start the free premium trial) and go into settings - detection and protection and enable rootkit scanning. Change non-malware protection to treat as malware.

hi thank you for your answers I did a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware free, seams like i am infectedd by pup.optional.duuqu.a. I joint the journal from it. I delete my quarantine and gonna do a scan again. 1 think though I can't update Malwarebytes, It shows the data base (v2015.04.05.02) is outdated but when i try to update it it shows no update available.

Yeah, v2015.06.21.01 is latest.

Try scan with https://www.malwarebytes.org/chameleon/ in case an infection is interfering.
Go into Settings - Detection and Protection - tick "Scan for rootkits", if chameleon doesn't have that option do it in MBAM and scan once again.

Also perform a clean startup (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html).

ok i scanned and found nothing. I have done the clean startup and will see if the problem come back will let you know if anything happen

The freeze happened again after 3 day working good !

Check the msconfig settings again, see if anything crawled back into it.

no nothing came back and i did a scan with malwarebytes and no infection now again working fine for now.

Is it the CPU or Harddisk that is working full time when it happens?

Open 2 Resource monitors, one with CPU selected, other with Harddisk. Sort by usage. When it happens next time, check these 2 windows and see if you can pinpoint the culprit.

I have 3 harddisk. 1 is c where is the system and have around 7 go free, the other d has 150 go and F system reserve has 99.9 mo.
I use wise care 365 so i have in the back the temperature and memory usage. temperature of haddisk is 40 (celsius)and processor is 55 and memory usage is around 70 when it happens.
How to I open the resource monitor ?

Correction. You have 1 harddisk with 4 partitions.

The OS partition (C:\) has 12% free which is just below recommended 15% (some say 10%+ is enough).

Please do this (you can start Resource Monitor, by opening Start Menu and write "resource" in search box):

Open 2 Resource Monitors, one with CPU selected, other with Harddisk. Sort by usage. When it happens next time, check these 2 windows and see if you can pinpoint the culprit.
