Solved PC Freezes then HDD makes clicking sounds.

There's no straightforward answer to those questions. The utility was only officially supported for use with a previous generation of drives. That SU user apparently used it successfully with his ZRX drive. That's a good indication it will work fine with yours, but it's not a guarantee.

I only used the utility once or twice (with 'officially supported' drives), but IIRC it printed a big "WD will not be held responsible" type warning when run. That's not uncommon for low-level configuration tools though. Just FYI.

I think I'll leave it like it is. The drive is fine and all the tests were ok. I will buy a new PSU anyways and I'll see if my booting problem and HDD problems persists.

Ok, here's a quick update: As you guys suggested, I replaced my PSU (it had to be replaced since I had unexplained hardware [HDD & SSD] failure for the past 4 years or so), but the initial problem is related to the WD Green HDD as alphaniner pointed out.

It seems there are no fix for my specific model which is the WD20EZRX. I shared a link where someone fixed the load cycle problem of his HDD, but it's the only record that features a WD20EZRX model being fixed by WDIDLE3.exe. I'm not ready to take the risk and try to modify the specs of the HDD. The load cycle problem was closely associated to early versions of the WD green HDD so I think I'll live with it for now. I will make sure to back up my data regularly and scan the disk for errors.

Thanks for your time guys!
