i play a lot of games that are considered kinda mainstreamed and the hardware requirements are kinda low.
but the problem im having is that after i exit the game the CPU utilization remains high and i dont know why? It leaves the PC running sluggish and id have to restart PC if i want to start a new game. The only thing i would have running in the background is WINAMP.
my system specs:
C2Dou e6550 2.33 OCed 2.5
DDR2 4GB
4870 512GDDR5 @ 1920x1200res
win7 64bit home premium is on a SSD32GB
and a 300GBmaxter for storage
and the games i expirence a hang after exiting are:
CnC3 Tiberium Wars
League of Legends
Global Agenda
COD Black OPS
COD MW2
and a side note i have the "Paging File" disabled and same thing goes for the "back up feature"
the automatic defrag setting is also unchecked.
Why would you disable pageing file? I heard disabling page file can cause problems in some games, since it uses it in some. You have 4gbs of ram and games only use about 1gb-2gb of ram. Wouldn't give a performance increase imo since all it does is hold applications that can't fit on the ram if you go over the amount of ram you have then the app is loaded in page file and to run again it has to be loaded into the system ram and another program from the ram is applied into the page file until the one you want to run can fit in your ram. IMO it would actually give you a performance increase if you got alot of ram to spare and you do since it's 4gbs. I advice setting it back on with the defaults for paging file. My hunch is that since that is disabled its giving you these unwanted issues.

try Process Lasso Free - Auto-optimize process priorities and much more!
get the 64bit version
it handles cpu affinity and ram usage. I know this is just a blank shot in the air but it can possibly fix how win 7 is handling the cpu usage and keep it from cpu usage being high. try it and if it don't work then just uninstall it.
