Recently installed Win 7 Professional on one of my computers. Now its constantly crashing after a 10-15mins sometimes right after reboot.

It had Win 7 Ultimate and started given similar problems so I swapped it with Win 7 Pro. For 2 weeks there weren't any problems, until 3 days ago when the crashes started. There's no blue screen the comp just freezes.

System info.
-Win7 Pro 32bit
-Custom built PC
-Full retail version
-age of hardware= roughly 1 year.
-Age of OS= 2 and a half weeks.

Thanks for any help given!
Gareth.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Also, if you are using any program such as CCleaner, they might clean out your minidump folder!

Thanks. Tried ctrl+shit+esc and it does not work. There is no blue screen. It just freezes on what ever image the screen is displaying and if watching a movie and it freezes/crash it will give out a annoying buzz. And it does not restart, I have to manually do it myself.

don't have such programs.

This is freaking annoying it keeps on crashing! And I can't seem to find this Minidump file/folder! tried search option and turned out zilch.

Then manually create the folder, and make sure that you have enabled small dumps as shanky887614 suggested ..

Here is the process of setting Minidump if you need:
Windows 7:
Go to Start and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (64 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

Did that. But there wasn't a "Small memory dump (64 kB)" only a Small Memory dump (128k kB). I chose that instead.
It crashed yet again, but I still find this minidump, tried searching for .dmp, minidump to no vail.

It crashes/freezes more often when I run Vuze(program like utorrent)

the size of the dump depends on your computer

for example mine is 256kb

as long as you update the one that says small memory dump and not full kernel dump it will be fine
