PC not starting D: Please Help!!

Hello there,
I am Ollie and have a windows 7 Sony Vaio (Thats all I know about it lol) I use it for hours day in and day out since I own my own blog ect so it keeps me busy in my own time. Last night it was getting very very slow so I decided to shut it down (through the start button, I didn't just press the switch) and then turn it back on however, now whenever I turn it on it just says 'Starting Windows' and it won't take me to my password page. I am extremely upset and shocked, I love that computer and an awaful lot of time and money has gone into it.

If anyone knows anything I would really love to hear it I don't want to go in and get it repaired for lots of money where someone like you could just have a simple suggestion that could help me out tons.

It could be related to malware activity,
Boot in safe mode with networking, download and run a scan of Malwarebytes

Thanks for your reply however, I know for sure its not due to viruses since I have Norton, its protecting me extremely well! Plus for the windows 7 advance boot link you gave me...I don't get the black screen with the white text options. I literally just see 'Starting Windows' it takes hours. I left it on all night and it hasn't moved, so obviously something is wrong :/
