Hello,

I was trying to install windows 7 on my computer but something really strange happened.

When i boot from the cd, the setup is loading some files (grey bar, bottom of the screen).
After that i get a blue background and i enter my language, keyboard layout and my time settings.
Then i press "install now" and after some seconds my computer just restart .

Can somebody help me to fix this problem?

My pc: Q6600 quad core
4 GIG RAM
x800GT video card (256MB)

Windows 7 version: build 7227 x86

I also tried to burn the image again but nothing helped.

Welcome to SF.
Here are a few things to do so we can help you more.
1) if you can fill out your System Specs in the UserCP so we know what kind of hardware you have.
2) Is the system overclocked like digitalrurouni asked.
3) Do you have the latest Firmware on your motherboard.
4) Try setting your motherboard setting back to the default config and see if continues to happen.
5) What version of Windows 7 are you trying to install (RC, 7127 or so on)

Ok, try the following, (which may seem redundant)

-take out all RAM, except one stick. then replace that one with a different one, and try install again.
-Re-download the ISO.
-Install using the USB method, or if you dont have a large USB Drive, get ahold of some DVD-RW media, it has a much higher data retention rate than it's DVD-R counterparts. EVERY byte of information is critical on these discs, and it could be the reason.

Let us know how the above goes.

Reburn the disc as suggested.

Perhaps it could be a power supply issue? I remember a computer that restarted every few seconds and once the PSU was replaced, it worked as expected.

Or you should give the official RC a spin.... and go to bios(since u already flashed it, nvm this time but next time DO NOT FLASH BIOS from WINDOWS) there is a HIGH FAILURE RATE... MANY MOBOS GET RMA-d coz of this.... Put the BIOS update in a thumb drive>Open 'Q-FLASH'(check the manual) then flash from there.....

NOW since you updated the BIOS, open BIOS>Load Optimal Settings>Reboot>Try Windows 7
