PC Stopped working

i need help diagnosing whats wrong with ny PC.


  • no bios screen on startup, no display at all, no beeps either
  • when i poer the PC, the CPU and GPU fans where spinnning but the LED for the power button is not lit.
  • recently, 1 RAM module failed and it was removed so RAM 2GB now, down from 4GB DDR3 1333

uhhh something else burned when the RAM failed are you sure the rest of the RAM is good maybe are they in the b slots instead of the a slots ??? anyway when RAM fails the symptoms are exactly as described and since you know one failed another may be bad as well ....how did you determine which stick was the bad one any chance you took the good one out and left a bad one ????
Take all the sticks out put one in and power up one at a time if nothing with any then something is fried if it comes on with one of the sticks but not others then you found which were bad and proved your system is still good

hope you find a bad stick and not a fried mother board

(I administer multiple systems but these are mine and usually they are not the ones with problems ---because theyre mine)

Take out everything but CPU and reset CMOS. If still doesn't beep, add a stick of RAM. If still no beep, remove ram, add GPU.

If still no beeps, then either mobo doesn't beep on serious problems, or it is fried.

Also take out any HDD/DVD etc and any fans plugged in except CPU obviously.
