pc stops at startup screen

hi just recently every time i start my pc it loads as far as the screen where the little box saying home is. but wont load all the way to desktop until i press the home box. all i want is to turn pc on and then load to desktop without me doing anything. it did before and i havent changed any settings could it be due to a windows update or something. any help please

Not sure what this is. What little box? What else is on screen?

Can you take a camera snap and attach it?
