You still failed to fill out your PC specs!
--------------------------------------------

Try this
Look in your bios for a setting that sets HDMI/SPDIF/auto
Set it to spdif

You wont get sound - just vision on vga
You also have to use Spdif/optical cable or the light green socket for sound output

My question; why would you want to use the VGA instead of the HDMI cable? The HDMI cable carries 1080p and sound, a much better choice, the best choice is the HDMI cable.

Im having trouble with resolutions with the HDMI and it also looks a bit blurry through the HDMI, i have had the same problem in the past and have just used a VGA and it looks a lot better.

Does anybody have any clues why it will not display with a VGA Cable?

I would say the TV might be set in Digital mode and unplugging and plugging TV back in while in VGA would reset it to recognize the Analog signal coming through.

I have had this problem before in Hotels when trying to hook up my laptop.

I would also try the HDMI, but enable the ClearType in case its not. That will fix the fuzziness of text:

Just type cleartype into the startmenu search bar
