pc won't boot or repair itself.

Hi, my pc is about a year old and has never had any real problems booting. recently, it wouldn't boot so I let it repair itself. This worked but my pc was pretty slow and didn't respond a couple of times. I tried to bott my computer the next day and it wouldn't again. the same as last time I let it repair but it simply didn't. It load files, flashes the cmd prompt then sits on a blueish screen with only a curser and does nothing. I tried removing the battery on 'expert' recommendation but this made no difference. I assume someone would have had the same problem at some point. helkp would be hugely appreciated.
