Pc1 fast; pc2 slow. Install ibto pc2 higher ram & faster processer?
Hey Guys. Not a new thing. Have 2 PC's. Same make & model.
But PC1 has: Ram: 4.00; Processor: Intel Pentium cpu [email protected] GHz
And PC2 has:RAM: 2.00; Processor: Intel Celeron cpu G460@180GHz
PC1 is speedy enough I think. adequate I believe. I might be wrong but lets start there.
PC2 is a pure Tortoise. Always stalling, loading up and sometimes freezing needing a reboot. then bootup is slow according to Glary's utilities (when open).
I recently noticed the above differences in ram and processor speeds. AHH HAA, I thought!
Is this ram & processor speed the cause of the PC2 slowness, ya think? Any other (related or not) reason I might have missed?
Can I just install the new ram into PC2 to match the ram in PC1?
Can I just install the new processor into PC2 to match the processor speed in PC1?
More ideas on what to look for invited, for sure.
Thanks, Jim

What would have taken like 1+ minute opening a folder is now done in a flash so fast ya can hardly see it. So it was the ram. Now gotta shop for another 4G ram. got some interchange info from crucial chat, so maybe that will lead me to the right ram on ebay or amazon. have a good nite bud. Sure appreciate your kind help. Jim
