PCI-E 6pin power Bodge

Okay so my new GPU needed the 6 pin , i forgot where i put the adapter ! it was late ! i had 5 strongbows ! i was crazy !

I cut the 4 pin atx power of and cut another of two broke psu's

Cut one in half

and put them in the 6 pin power slot on the card

3 tops where ground
3 bottoms where 12v used A MOLEX connecter and wired it up

it works ! :) brilliant and i soldered and heat shrink wrapped it :) then taped around it to make it even more secure !

Good job! i wouldn't have the courage to do that to my own pc :o

LOL I think I would fail and mess up my psu trying that,I have a tendency to mess up the first time around and succeed the 2nd time i do somthing new that I never done before.

hahaha i love strongbow :P was an offer 30 for £19 so i bought £50 worth :)

i did actually stand back and press my power button with a long stick incase it went boom but then i realised psu's have a trip switch and cut out if there is a short anyway
