Is there any adapter available or is it even possible where you attach the adapter into PCI-e slot and attach DDR memory into it so you could use that memory as RAMdrive. I have my dedicated memory slots (dunno the real name) used and I have 2 512MB DDRs unused. It would be great if I could do that and then have more ram/use it as ramdrive to speed up stuff. :)

Thanks in advance. :)

yea there are a few options

there are a few designs out there
i-ram = £250
i-ram box = £250
DDRdrive = DDRdrive X1: Solid-State Storage Redefined.
all at silly high prices
today i wanted to make use of 6 old ddr sticks sat collecting dust and had a google around, somthign at a £20 mark would be perfect. instead I find silly prices.
ramdisc software for the ddr3's installed on the motherboard will do for tinkering.

is it possible to use an old graphics card as a ssd drive i wunder. hmmm
