PCI Latency, how?

Hello folks,
I use Flight Simulator X and I'm experiencing awful sound pops at the loop of the sound, and I've figured out why I believe. PCI latency is too high so the card isn't being released fast enough to be used again. Great. Problem is, I can't find out how to lower the latency. I've tried the PCI latency tool, it's not compatible with Win7. I've looked around my BIOS as well. I can't find it, but I NEED to change it, even if I have to write a .bat file to do it (computer geek joke). Thanks for the help in advance.

BTW my BIOS is v08.00.15

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel i7 Quadcore stock 3.07 GhZ
Nvidia GTX 470 4GB
ASUS p6x58d-e Motherboard
8GB RRD3 RAM
Realtek/Onboard sound with Logitech X-540 Speakers

In the Bios it should be listed in the PCI e settings either in the initial pci e configuration goes from 32 to 248 most likley the popping noise is because it is set way beyond it's limits ussually it should be about 64

i have mine set higher actually cause im using a higher card mine is at 128 no noise crackles or bad sounds but some would even say that is too high latency only insures how many cycles it is going to run before letting other pci configure devices work

It's not there. I couldn't find it. Can you be a little more specific on how to get there.

Get out your moboard manual.
If it isn't handy go to ASUS and download the manual. If it is possible it will tell you how to get to the BIOS advanced menu settings. Search around. If your manual is like mine it won't necessarily give you specific but will get you to the BIOS area you need to be looking.
