Hello Everyone.

I installed Windows 7 build 7227 3 days ago and have encountered 2 problems.

My Specs are:
Intel DP35DP MB
Quad core Q8200 2.33GHZ CPU
2x1Gb HyperX Kingston RAM
EZCool 1200w PSU
XFX GTX 295 Graphics card

1st problem:
My MB Management Engine Interface Drivers are incompatible and even when I try to run them in compatibility mode they still do not work.

2nd Problem:
The new OS is not picking up one of my WD 1Tb HDD. It shows in the bios, and it shows in the device manager but nowhere else. I think that this may have something to do with the fact that there is no PCI simple communications controller installed, and I cannot find that anywhere.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with these issues.

drive first. does the drive have a letter assigned to it? Im assuming its formatted ntfs, was it installed in another OS? Permissions problem?

second- driver is the driver the most recent for your system from the manufacturer?

Is it for the correct version 32bit or 64? are the driver is it for xp,vista, or win 7?

Hey Ken, thx for the quick response.

Driver first:
I downloaded the latest MEI driver from Intel, unfortunately it is for vista 32bit and I am running Win7 32bit. I installed it in compatibility mode and when I restarted, my PC would not boot. I did a win7 repair on it and my PC rebooted and the drivers were installed... Go figure. Is it safe to keep it running like this now?

Drive:
In Device manager the drive is assigned a letter and a name, that it was originally named on vista before. It is only about 2 months old and I have never installed any OS on it. I am not quite sure what 'permission problems' with hard drives are.
Could the MEI drivers have anything to do with the drive disappearance?

Have you tried partitioning the drive over?

Do you think that partitioning it will make the drive visible to the OS?

I do. I have seen it work already.. Same problem you experienced... Hdd seen in disk Management and BIOS but not in windows. Had to partition and format it to make it visible...

Do you have lots of important data on that?

Hard Drives 1x Seagate 320Gb (Operating System) 2x WD 1Tb 1x Seagate 500Gb 2x Seagate 1.5Tb

can you be specific on the HDD types. IDE-SATA-eSATA-Raid.
are the HDDs formatted. Apparently the 1x Seagate 320GB (OS) is.
If they are shown in Disk Mgnt that indicates they are (reasonably) in good shape. you might post a snip of Disk Mgnt.

Intel information They do not plan to make this MOBO Win 7 compliant.

Hey snuffy. The problem has been fixed. Just to let you know, all drives are sata and have all been formatted at one stage and now contain data. I appreciate the assistance though.
