Periodic Kernel Inpage BSOD, "STOP: 0x0000007A"

I've been having issues with seemingly random BSOD for the last couple of months. Sometimes they'll be weeks apart, sometimes they're back to back. They can happen at boot, in the middle of a game. or simply sitting around idle when I'm not even at the keyboard.

I've run chckdsk and nothing came up and my Avast is always up to date, so I'm not sure if it's bad RAM or a faulty disk. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd rather not send this in for a warranty fix if it can be at all avoided, I need this computer for school.

It's apparently having issues with creating a dump as well, so I'm not sure if the tool that the FAQ recommends will help me.

I would check for any chipset updates from your motherboard support page or Intel's support page.

It won't let me zip the .dmp, says "file not found or no read permission." I'm on the administrator account for this PC, is there something I'm missing?

I also checked for an update from Intel and the only thing that was out of date was my integrated graphics driver. It didn't say anything about the motherboard.

It's now gotten to the point where i can't use my laptop for more than an hour at a time before it crashes, sometimes less. I've left it sitting untouched as much as I can, but while using it for school I receieved an error which said something to the effect of
"C:\$Mft is unreadable." Isn't that the "master guide" or whatever for my HDD?

I have a warranty with the manufacturer and will probably send it in unless there is something relatively easy I can do to fix this, I'm not in a position to be spending any amount of time or money trying to fix something major like that.

It means Master File Table and is used by the NTFS file system to reserve special boot information. There's actually two MFT's - the Master File Table record and the backup of the Master File Table. I'm guessing to get that error, both must be corrupt. More Information - NTFS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You have a corrupt file system for sure, I'll advise running some hard-drive tests:

Run some hard-drive diagnostics and follow these steps:
Find your hard-drive manufacturer and run their tests.

Post a screenshot of Crystal Disk Info summary:

I started up the laptop to run the programs you recommended and another chkdsk started. This time, it ran twice as fast and deleted a ton of "orphan files." It finished and I've now been using it for over an hour with no crashes, a better run than I've had for weeks.

I don't know if this has fixed my problem or not, though. Should I still run the stuff you recommended?

On that same note, what did those other logs have to say?

edit scrap that, it just crashed after ~1:45 of smooth sailing. Didnt even have time to get anything done.

Please post the .CBS log file, it should be the last Option or section for the disk check tutorial. I would try running the bootable hard drive diagnostics too, but do not run these tests on a SSD. Usually, the BSOD your having is related to a problematic hard drive.

I've actually been in touch with the manufacturer's tech support and they'll be sending me a replacement in the next few days. according to them, it is a miracle that I am still able to boot into windows at all. They said it could fail anywhere between the next 10 minutes and the next 3 months and it definitely has a physical error of some sort.

The tech remoted into my computer and spent two hours running diagnostics of different varieties before tellng me that it was almost certainly some sort of software error and I should reinstall windows just to be sure that I fix it. He then had me run the boot diagnostic one more time and was surprised to hear the beeping and screaming noise that it gives me notify me that there's some sort of hard drive error and that it can't finish the scan.

Thank you for your help, though. I appreciate it.
