Permission Problem

I have two external hard drives hooked up to my computer once Lacie 500G external which works fine and a Seagate Expansion 1.5TB which is being a pain in the ass.
It was working fine when I was running on 32bit Windows 7 but I recently reformatted and switch over to 64 Bit and now only the folder that contains all of my anime is giving me permission problems. Any other folder I can open the videos and pictures in the folders but not in my anime folder. It gives me message when I try to open one of the folders. "You don't currently have permission to access this folder." Then I click on the button to permenantly gain access to it and it gives me another one saying "You have been denied permission to access this folder."
I am the only account on my computer and have full administrator powers.
I have tried changing setting in the security tab and nothing is working for me. I cannot even copy any of the folders over to my desktop to try and stream it through to my PS3
Any help on this would be much appreciated, I just want to finish Eureka Seven!

Have you tried taking ownership of the file? This take ownership shortcut might help you do that which may get you permissions to open that file again.

Sure thing MrRedman, this ownership deal seems like a pain on the outside but the reality is that if it wasn't for this setting it would be much easier for an attacker to take control of all the files on a system.
Thanks for reporing back in.
