I want to delete a particular folder but I keep getting this error. I tried "Take Ownership" and it still would not work. permission.png When I tried to access the sub-folders I get this access denied error.accessdenied.png. I have had this issue for some time and I tried to ignore it but now I can't anymore as I am allocating space and re-setting company shared folders. Thanks.

Try a program named Unlocker. See this post.

This video is old and was made for a person that was using XP...
...but it should show you how to get rid of that white space around your screenshots.
(You might want to watch it in the full screen mode.)

I got this and posted that it didn't work. I went to another computer and tried it again because I think I might have created the folder from that station. It seem to have deleted the folder.

But, I am not seeing this error while I am using robocopy and I don't see this folder in the drive.

I should have mentioned that Unlocker should be run on the computer that has the drive in it, not on a remote drive. Glad that you got it deleted.

The system volume information folder is a hidden system folder. What are you attempting to do?

Trying to copy an entire external drive to a larger capacity and change the drive letter - swap the drive letter.

I've never had to do that - so I'll leave it to those that have to advise you.
