I am trying to figure out if I have a problem or not. Some recent installs of software have failed due to the inability to write to a register key. I have had to abort the install and use regedit to set permissions on the key and then start the install over. So far it has worked. What if the install software does not supply me with the offending key? I would be up the creek.
The question is something has changed in my admin account, or the install software is poorly written. Should I be looking at my settings somewhere?
