Solved Personlization Problems with wallpaper

Hey, I have had some problems about my desktop background ever since i got rid of a nasty virus.
My background are only colours, and I can change it to alle the colours that it standard to the computer(black, white, yellow...) but when I try to set a picture as my background it wont change.
is there something I can do, that does not involve reinstalling it all.

Hello Madsih, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Double check to make sure that you have the Remove background images (where available) box unchecked in the Ease of Access Center Make the computer easier to see section.

I have checked, and the box is unchecked, so i dont know what to do now

Could you post a screenshot of your change Desktop Background window to see if something may stand out as a cause?

As to your problem, you have to get out of Solid Color scheme AND select Wallpaper.
See my screenshot :



See if this step by step will help solving your problem :

1. Go to Personalization window.
2. Click Desktop Background.
3. You are looking at Solid Color scheme.
4. Click the pointer I showed you in above screenshot.
5. You will see a drop down box with options - select Wallpaper.
6. Now click the Browse button to navigate to your picture folder.
7. ( you know what to do for the rest.)

thanks it worked in the end, finally.
it is a bit weird system and I think that alot of people will have the same problems, because that was quite "complicated"

Have the same problem, but is not resolved after those steps, please help
