"ATANWD 45AZWTIRGL SCSI CdRom Device" to be more specific. A google search on "ATANWD 45AZWTIRGL" turned up blank.

I unplugged all devices other than my hard drives (all of which show correctly) and my graphics card. I uninstalled the device from Device Manager and rebooted. It still appears.

It shows up in Disk Management as CD-ROM 0. I tried setting the phantom to the same drive letter as the real drive, but it just moves the real drive when I plug it in.

A search on the forum produced a "phantom Q drive" issue, but this does not look the same. My phantom device is showing up as a SCSI CDROM drive, not a hard drive. I do not have any SCSI devices in this computer, nor do I have a SCSI interface.

Any ideas how I can remove this phantom?

Have you installed any programs that might have installed a virtual CD-ROM drive? Some disk burning apps will do that during their install process.
