Phisical usage

Hello,

I recently bough Toshiba Satellite Pro L630 with 2GB Ram,i3 processor.

So what bothers me is the physical usage which keeps the rate of 50~60% even after I have stopped all unnecessary services and programs from running.
I have also moved the page file to drive d: and have sett it up to use min 4MB and max 10MB.

At the moment I have 55 processes running and the physical usage is 57%
I am attaching screen shots from Process Explorer software to see what processes I have running and would appreciate if anybody could tell me if that is normal and besides installing additional ram what else could I do.

Thanks,
Bobby

Completely normal. Get more RAM - 2GB is marginal. And moving the page file does not really buy you anything. Look at your Resource Monitor picture. On the bottom right you can see that there are no page faults anyhow.

Also, your page file size (4MB and max 10MB) is too small - suggest 2GB to 3GB.

Well i guess that when you set the pagefile limits windows is reserving space on the drive.
Before changing the settings I had 145 gb and after I changed them I had 16 gb less so I believe windows had reserved that space for the highest limits of virtual memory I have set up.

The pagefile should be maximum 2x your RAM size. You need that size mainly for BSOD dumps. For paging you need a lot less.
