Hi all.

I have a project to do, and just come straight to a halt.

On my old XP setup I had a free program that came with it to create Photo DVD’s.
It was simplicity it’s self. You loaded a folder of photos, the music you wanted, and it would match the length of the slide show to the length of the music, and add transitions at random so you didn’t have to do everyone.
About a dozen mouse clicks and out came a disc !

Now, the program was showing its age, such as no widescreen support.
Going onto Windows 7 now, I’m looking for an application to do the same.
Main criteria is simple functionality !
I have had a look at Windows DVD Maker, but it has a limit of 250 pictures.
I’m going to need over that.

Any recommendations please for good free or commercial programs of late to do this.

Many thanks,
Andy

Hello,

This maybe a work around for you.
M$ has a free download to allow you to run XP in a virtual window.
It has helped me port over some of my older programs.

I know Nero is capable of making photo CD/DVD. With dozens of transitions effects and ability to add various styles of text w/effect etc as well as audio.
As far as I am aware the only limits are what the disc can hold.
Of course, it isnt free.

Picasa (free) also has a Photo Slide show creator you can burn to disc, but ive never used it so unsure how well it works.

Wish I could help more, but rarely ever make Photo discs and use Nero to do so when I do.
