Photo suffix changes

My wife uses Paint Shop Pro for her photos and once in awhile the photo suffix will change from ".JPG" to "PSPIMAGE". The photo software doesn't recognize the new suffix and won't open the photo. How can she change the suffix?

Have you tried posting this question on the Coral forum here => Corel USER to USER Web Board. You might have a bit more success!
